The annual number of hospital discharges (including all types of inpatient and outpatient care) in Italy decreased steadily from 2010 to 2020. According to the data, in 2010 approximately 11.3 million individuals were discharged from hospital, while in 2020 they were about 6.8 millions. Conversely, in 2021, this figure increased to 7.3 million discharges. This statistic shows the number of hospital discharges in Italy from 2010 to 2021.
