Mediterranean ports: home in/out cruise passengers 2023

The combined number of embarking and disembarking cruise passengers at the selected Mediterranean ports experienced a sharp annual increase in 2023, nearly catching up with the figure reported in 2019, the year before the impact of COVID-19. Overall, the port of Barcelona recorded the highest figure in 2023, with roughly 1.9 million passengers.

The analysis is based on data collected from MedCruise member ports. As of 2023, the association had 76 members representing more than 150 ports in the Mediterranean region, including the West Med, Adriatic, East Med, and Black Sea.
