According to a survey in 2023, feelings of burnout was more frequent among female than male physicians in the U.S. Some 68 percent of surveyed female physicians and 54 percent of male physicians reported having frequent feelings of burnout. Feelings of burnout was also higher among younger physicians than physician 46 year or older.
