Investments in lithium projects in Brazil 2021

As of February 2021, Sigma Mineração, the Brazilian subsidiary of Canadian Sigma Lithium Resources, had secured investments of nearly 700 million Brazilian reals for their Grota do Cirilo project, aimed at the mine production of lithium. Meanwhile, some 245 million reals had been invested in Brazil's first production plant of lithium-sulphur battery cells. Furthermore, back in December 2019, AMG Mineração, the Brazilian subsidiary of Dutch Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG), announced an investment of approximately 840 million Brazilian reals for expansion of the lithium processing capacity in their Mibra plant.
