Students enrolled at private universities in Spain, by degree 2023

As of the school year 2008/2009 the number of students enrolled in Grado degrees at private universities in Spain was roughly 9,600, and it has increased greatly due to the implementation of the Bologna Process in the European higher educational systems. In 2022/2023 there were nearly 279,000 students in Grado degrees.

** In Spain after the university access tests, students could choose between two types of degrees: 1er Ciclo (3 years long) or 2° Ciclo (5 years long) After the Bologna Agreements "Grado" became the new degree. It normally takes 4 years to complete with a few exceptions. Once the Grado is been completed students can enroll in master's degree.
