Footfall index in EU textile retail 2020-2021
Monthly visits to clothing stores in the European Union countries had a negative trend throughout 2020, as indexed over January 2020. The steepest decrease was recorded between March and June when the index value of average monthly footfall dropped from 92.97 to 67.75. Textile retail footfall had a slight increase in the following months, and almost flattened around an approximate value of 72. However, decline of monthly average visits accelerated again starting from November 2020 and dropped to 65.45 in January 2021, marking this as the lowest value of the time period in consideration.
