Shared motor scooters in mobility fleets globally 2020
The global shared motor scooter fleet increased rapidly between 2018 and 2020 to some 95,000 units by the end of June 2020. Shared mobility provides on-demand personal transportation at a lower cost than personal ownership. Shared motor scooter operations are restricted to large cities where the service has a large consumer base. While some European cities have large shared motor scooter fleets, the surge in the global fleet size has been driven by India.
