Leading symphony orchestras in Japan FY 2021, by number of performances
In the fiscal year 2021, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra had a total of 284 performances, the most in Japan. The majority of these were on-demand performances. The Greater Tokyo area seemed to be the focal point for classical music in Japan, as many of the leading orchestras, in terms of number of performances, were situated there.
