Brazil: Carnival costs 2020, by city
In 2020, the city of São Paulo would invest 36.6 million Brazilian reals in the organization of public events for the Carnival season. In Recife, capital of the state of Pernambuco, up to 25 million reals would be spent to organize public Carnival festivities and street parades. Olinda, also in Pernambuco and one of the most traditional destinations for Carnival in Brazil, would invest seven million reals in these events.
