Apparent steel use per capita in Taiwan 2009-2019
In 2019 the apparent steel use (ASU) per capita in Taiwan amounted to approximately 890 kilograms crude steel equivalent. Apparent steel use is defined as production volume or deliveries plus imports minus exports of steel industry goods and is commonly used to measure steel demand. ASU can be calculated for crude steel equivalent or finished steel products. ASU per capita is calculated by dividing total ASU by population size.
