In 2019, the revenue of bakeries in the Netherlands increased by 2.7 percent in comparison to the same period of 2018. The strongest increase was visible in the lunch/hospitality/beverages segment, which saw an increase of over eight percent in this period. By comparison, the sales of ice cream decreased by roughly 15 percent.
