According to an August 2019 survey among U.S. adults, younger adults were less likely to support more regulation of technology firms like Amazon, Google, and Facebook. During the survey period, it was found that 52 percent of respondents aged 65 years old and above were in favor of increased government regulation of tech companies, while only 44 percent of respondents in the 18 to 29-year-old stated the same.
