Share of TV ad expenditure contribution India 2020, by category
In 2020, the contribution of the FMCG sector to television advertising expenditure across India was around 51 percent, making it the single largest contributing sector. This was followed by the e-commerce sector with 11 percent ad expenditure contribution. Overall, there was a decline in ad expenditure growth compared to previous year, largely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
