Walmart's total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions stood at about 14 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO₂e) in 2021. Between 2015 and 2021, Walmart reduced its combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by nearly 30 percent. Walmart has set the target to achieve zero emissions by 2040.
