Number of movies seen each month in the U.S. in 2019, by generation
According to a survey held in February 2019, 18 percent of Millennials said that on average they had seen two movies in a cinema in the last month, compared to 10 percent of Boomers who said the same. Generation Z proved to be the most regular cinemagoers, with 43 percent saying they had seen a film at a movie theater within the past month compared to 35 percent of their slightly older peers, Millennials, and 29 percent of Boomers.
