Japan: most used mobile e-money payment apps 2023

In a survey conducted in 2023, around 62 percent of respondents in Japan reported they were using or wanted to use the mobile electronic money services of public transportation companies, such as Suica and PASMO. WAON was the second most popular e-money smartphone app, named by 31.5 percent of the respondents.
