Median age of the population in CEE 2022-2100, by country
Bulgaria had the highest median age of the population among Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, at nearly 44.7 years in 2022, while the lowest figure was recorded in Kosovo, at just above 31 years. In 2100, Albania was expected to have the highest median age, at around 63.3 years. Between 2022 and 2100, Albania's median age of the population was forecast to increase by roughly 26 years. The median age divides the population into two equal groups, where one half is older and the other half is younger.
