Current measures taken to mitigate COVID-19 impact on hotel operations Singapore 2020
A survey conducted among hoteliers in Singapore found that 88 percent of respondents have undertaken sales promotions (e.g. bundled packages) as an immediate stop-gap measure to counter the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. In the survey, it was also found that almost all of the respondents have taken cost control measures since the pandemic outbreak. Hotel performance in Singapore was up to expectations in January 2020. However, circumstances deteriorated significantly since the outbreak.
